I think rooms where the party starts out separated can be fun, but it requires a good means of communication, even distribution of puzzles between the two rooms, and well designed puzzles that can be easily described. Unfortunately, I don't feel this escape room had any of those in its favor. The room got much better when the two groups merged but while separated it was rather frustrating.

I liked the escape room company and the game master was great but this room itself just wasn't too exciting. It was fun, but I've been to better rooms that's all. I'll admit the room would have been easier with more than 2 people, but even still I just found the puzzles a bit convoluted.

A great room with a fantastic story. I highly recommend!

The room opens up in a pitch black room, which I'm not particularly fond of but whatever. The issue is this pitch black room had LOW CEILINGS! I hit my head almost instantly. It didn't get much better after that. Needless to say, this was not one of my favorite rooms.

We technically arrived during the "Previews" during this game so it's worth noting that some of my gripes might be due to the fact that they're still working out some kinks, but overall this room was incredible. The theme was fun, the immersion was terrific, and the puzzles were both plentiful and engaging. My only issues were with a) multiple puzzles not working correctly (again, this could be due to the fact that the room was still in previews) and b) the puzzles seemed a bit TOO challenging. Though the puzzles certainly weren't impossible, there were several that seemed to take a long time even when you know how to solve them and even though this is technically a "90 minute room", you only have 60 minutes to solve a LOT of puzzles so it didn't seem appropriate for some of said puzzles to take as long as they did. With that being said, the room was phenomenal, I really enjoyed it, and highly recommend it. The nice thing about this particular room's set up is it also allows for replayability, so it's possible I tackle it (and hopefully succeed) the next time I'm in town.

My biggest gripe with this room was that there were so many puzzles, some of which were "out there". I will admit we had too small a group for this room but even still, the clue master could have made up for that with ease. Instead, we just sort of fumbled at parts and even though we solved a ton of puzzles, still had several to do with too little time to complete them. With a bigger group this might have been fun, but it was just a bit too intense for my liking.

This room's theme was great, the puzzles were difficult, and the final challenge was top-notch. Not only was the decor in theme with the room but the type of puzzles you faced were extremely "Sherlock-esque". It was a very fun room, I'm just bummed I didn't make it out in time!

This was a fun room, but relied too heavily on scavenging for puzzle pieces. I felt like we spent more time looking for puzzles than solving them. The theme was fun but some of the puzzles just took too long to solve, even when we weren't confused about how to solve them. Overall I enjoyed the room but found their Sherlock room to be stronger.

Wow. What a terrific, and fun, game! I have never played a room quite like this. It doesn't really have 'puzzles' or a 'theme' quite like other rooms, but it was unbelievably fun nonetheless. The puzzles aren't exactly difficult, but instead they rely very heavily on strong teamwork, arguably more than just about anything else. The only issue I had with this room was that I didn't get out, but unlike most escape rooms out there, this game is replayable and rest assured, I'll be playing it again (and will hopefully beat the bomb next time)! :)

My friends enjoyed this room, but truthfully I was unimpressed. I'll admit that I prefer rooms with a linear progression (as opposed to a room with multiple riddles that can be solved in no specific order) so that could very much have something to do with my disappointment in this room. I'm just not a big fan of a room with a ton of locks and little thought/effort into a theme. I feel there are much better escape rooms in NY than this one.

This room was fun and they certainly put a lot of work, and attention, into making it feel extremely immersive. With that being said, this room utilized dim lighting as a means of increasing it's difficulty, to which I'm not a big fan. At the end of the day, however, there was a very fun ending puzzle which my whole group couldn't stop talking about when we left. It was fun, and I enjoyed it, even if we couldn't get out in time.

My review might have been affected by the fact that I completed this room after "Prison Break" (which I felt was one of my favorite rooms of all time). The room, though certainly not bad, just wasn't super memorable or exciting.

This room was great, even if the 'style' of the puzzles weren't exactly my forte. These puzzles, like the story of Alice in Wonderland itself, requires some 'out of the box' thinking and, in some cases, non-logical thinking. This was difficult at times, and there were a few instances a bit frustrating because I do believe in an attempt to be very 'out there' the quality of the puzzle's suffered a bit. Overall, it was fun, but make sure you have a larger group because it was pretty tricky!

Though I appreciate that this room was "next generation" in the sense that it had no classic locks, the game wasn't my favorite. The theme was fun, and the puzzles were interesting, but it almost seemed like the room's attempt to be 'unique' and 'lock-less' left it a little underwhelming when it comes to the overall enjoyment of the game.

Ok so this room is EXTREMELY well made. The production value is better than any room I've ever played but I don't like that a) this room is less than an hour b) the puzzles were surprisingly difficult, c) they allow too many people in the room at once, and d) they won't tell you how many puzzles you have left if you don't get out. I've gone to a lot of escape rooms, and the fact that they won't tell you how close you were to solving is really annoying because come on, are they really expecting you to pay to play a game you've already played once before? I felt that was very tacky and just a dumb cash-grab. With that being said, if you were lucky enough to get out of the room, and didn't have a large group when you did it, I'm sure you had a very pleasant experience.

This was a terrific room. I loved the theme, the production value, and the riddles. In fact, I think it really sets the bar for NY escape rooms with regards to how interesting the puzzles were and the attention-to-detail to the theme. Overall, I was very impressed by every aspect of this room and would strongly recommend.

This was my first ever escape room, and I'm so glad it was. This game got me into escape rooms because it offered fun puzzles, an interesting theme, and fun surprises along the way. I would definitely recommend!
